Not sure if this video is legal or not, but here is a compilation I put together of clips from public domain US television shows of 1952. [movies]Excerpts from 1954 Television - Matthew Paul Argall
A series of excerpts from 1954 television. Drawn almost entirely from variety shows. Most of the shows excerpted aired live. I give a 20-second introduction at the start, and look like I had just been hit by a truck, and use a particularly awful double-negative. The clips are from US series....I was unable to get clips from TV from the UK because so little survives of their 1954 TV programming, and of course shows from other countries are virtually impossible to get...

An episode of NBC's popular "Howdy Doody" program, complete with commercials and network ID. I haven't watched this episode for several years so I don't know if it is any good. This show could be fun, but it could also be crassly commercial. Also, I "borrowed" it from an official DVD release, but hopefully that won't effect its public domain status.

[movies]''Howdy Doody'' - 31 December 1952
An episode of "Howdy Doody", NBC's hit TV series. Highlights include the "Howdy Doody Do" song. Lowlights include an awkward excerpt from a Mickey McGuire film. Contains the original, not very good commercials. I am pretty sure most of this episode aired live, since that was usually the case with children's shows of the period (elements that were definitely *not* live include the film excerpt, one of the commercials, and Howdy Doody's voice, which was pre-recorded)...

[movies]''The Alan Young Show'' - Retake of Monica Lewis segment
During the 18 April 1950 episode of "The Alan Young Show", there was background noise during the Monica Lewis segment. Here is that re-take, which includes the clapperboard at the beginning.
